Takens Bio
Takens Theorem is a fully anonymous cryptothematic data analyst, visualist, writer. He created early data interfaces for crypto projects, such as an early recommender system for NFTs in 2019 featured on OpenSea blog. His creative projects have included experimental on-chain and interactive NFT projects like the_coin and The Mesh, along with expressive data visualization in Ethstory and more. From a JPG profile for a show at NFT Paris 2023: "His visual pieces challenge the divide between data and art and operate such that their aesthetic variations - their axes, colors, orientations, and scales - all map in some way to specific elements of data."
Piece Description
A collaboration with Vantekai, "Memetic Circuitry" depicts mass connectivity on 6529. Thousands of lines from major wallets to cards they've collected. The paths yield an emergent center of gravity, the system itself. It draws us in. In many of my projects, I've been intrigued by the idea of data allowing us to see whole systems in a glimpse. "Memetic Circuitry" figures into this strategy. The work diverges somewhat from the usual meme cards. But it's indeed an expression of memetics: Mass system of meaning coming together through playful sometimes transgressive on-chain coordination. Memetics is a collective. "Memetic Circuitry" accompanies an interactive website with several little explorations of 6529 data. The piece is meant to be paired with this website as a broad data-driven study of a system.

Exploring 6529 data with various visuals, unpacking connectivity, concentration, distribution.

"Memetic Circuit" fuses 85,000 holder-card pairings, generating an expressive visual. Memetic gravity at center.

Many of our explorations combined on a website as a kind of 'study of 6529,' with playful interactivity in the interface.
Past Work
The main visual shared as the card is "Memetic Circuit," like Takens Theorem's past work, one of its underlying
goals is to catch a "system in a glimpse." Many prior works have connected collectors & artists, depositors into
new ecosystem developments and more.
