CORPUS was supposed to grow slowly like a developing organism driven by a Liquid Edition on
SuperRare through its supply, liquidity, price, activity.
Bots descended upon it, trading voraciously. CORPUS instantly grew & stabilized. We never got to see its development from seed to form. See here for the backstory.
Join me in reconfiguring the renderer on chain so we can see the richness I built in. CORPUS was meant to embody a collective. So now, at least in one round, we act in concert with implications for the body itself.
CORPUS holders now vote on our system.
VOTE STARTS 9/16
Vote will take place on Snapshot here.
If you wish to increase voting power, CORPUS can be collected till the proposal deploys.
Proposal 1 // Induction
Proposal 1 determines the
strongest induction. When I deployed CORPUS, I hid a meaningful
opposition often found in communities: power from centralization vs. decentralization.
Should the strongest induction on CORPUS come from four oligarchs who can call an
influence() function on chain? Or a collective gm() call open
to any CORPUS holder? These functions alter the visual for a period of time, and proposal 1
will decide which of these forces will have the greatest impact.
See the CORPUS about page for details about these "oligarchs." They are fully on chain and ERC-721 1/1s.
I am gifting each oligarch token
to a prior collector. (SuperRare calls these "LENS" tokens because they also fluctuate with CORPUS's Liquid Edition.)
See the oligarchs on OpenSea.
Proposal 2 // Adaptation
Proposal 2 asks how CORPUS should adapt: conserve its current stable
dynamic, or tune it toward greater chaos and exploration in response
to market activity. The winning options will retune the living visual.
The bots hold much of the supply, so they may vote too. If you vote for adaptation, this proposal
will let CORPUS fluctuate more wildly, exploring the range of
visual embodiment I had built into it.
Shortly after the vote, the final renderer will be set. Fully on chain. Resonant with a market determined by the CORPUS collective.
