entangl3d

entangl3d is a work-in-progress visuospatial explorer designed for visualizing activity within The Dark Forest. Released September 2025, it projects the ledger's blocks as slices of time, and wallets as the computational activity happening on those blocks. You can scroll through these blocks, effectively moving through time — click around and explore!

This website demonstrates entangl3d. The links below lead to snapshots of our Dark Forest, capturing specific moments in time like little capsules. I envision this as a social experience, a narrative-generation game where you uncover hidden stories. You could even think of it as a "walking simulator" game. Wander through these past patterns and ask yourself: what's curious here? Are there emerging trends, unusual transactions, or vibrant communities? What does your exploration reveal?

Ethereum is a Dark Forest. It can reveal wanderings and whereabouts. Patterns on its ledger are the tattlings of the forest's paths and displacements. A public forest, we can all wander with a block explorer as flashlight. A beam focused through tabulations and visuals. The structure yields narrative, at least in part: The whys of these wanderings. A beam cast into The Dark Forest reports on a connected network: What lost history does it reveal, and toward what unseen destination does it point?

We sometimes compete to find patterns. We might seek dangers and help potential victims. Some love wandering old woods for curiosities.

How to play?

Click the capsules of time below and wander the visuospatial explorer. There are no instructions. Scroll, drag, click; poke around in the dark forest.
